An ordained elder and anointed speaker, preacher and teacher of the gospel, she is a hands-on first lady
She is Director of the Women’s Ministry where she oversees women’s outreach, fellowship, activities and retreats. A journalist by training, she also oversees, reviews and approves all written communications, and serves as an adviser to the Ark’s media ministry, administrative staff and worship committee. Muse founded the “Young Senior of the Month” ministry, which seeks to recognize, encourage and support what she calls the “great treasures” in the congregation. In addition, Lady Muse provides counseling to the women of the Ark who need encouragement and support as they deal with the challenges of juggling work, family and careers.
Lady Muse, a magna cum laude graduate of Howard University, where she studied broadcast management, has a full-time career of her own. Pat Lawson Muse is a veteran journalist, well-known throughout the Washington, DC media market. She currently co-anchors News4 at 4 weekdays and is a general assignment reporter and producer of special segments for newscasts. She also hosts Reporter’s Notebook, a weekly examination of local issues seen on Sunday mornings. She joined NBC4 in 1982 and later was named co-anchor of News4 at Noon, to become part of one of the first all-women, co-anchor news teams in the country. She is an Emmy-award-winning news anchor who has covered a wide range of issues including education, health and politics. For decades she has also been the heart and face of the station’s campaigns to feed the hungry, help non-profit organizations and collect school supplies for children.
